How godbourne.org LLC Started
Back in 2011, founder Michael Chen was frustrated. He'd played tennis competitively in college but stepped away after life got busy. When he turned 42, he wanted back in — but the local clubs felt disconnected, pricing was unclear, and most programs catered to teenagers and college kids. There wasn't a genuine community for serious adult players.
That's when godbourne.org LLC launched. We're not a gym trying to add tennis. We're not a casual meetup group. We're dedicated entirely to doubles tournaments, pickleball workshops, court socials, and competitive league play for the 40-60 crowd. Everyone here takes their game seriously. You'll find former college athletes, weekend warriors, and people rediscovering the sport they loved decades ago.
What's changed in 15 years? We've expanded from one location to 12 across the country. We've hosted over 180 tournament weekends. We've trained thousands of beginners who went on to win their first tournament. But the core mission hasn't budged — creating authentic community around racket sports for serious players who happen to be in their 40s, 50s, and 60s.
